Good Samaritan Civic Organisation
Comprehensive, workable solutions for the efficient running of a municipality
Good Samaritan is a registered non-profit civil action organisation providing consulting services to Smart City Executives and Management.
As a civil action organisation we recognise that civil society is an essential building block of development and national cohesion. Civil society fills the space untouched by government and the private sector
We provide comprehensive solutions to embrace rate payers and all stakeholders requirements and to provide workable solutions for the efficient running of a municipality.
Common aims and private sector involvement
Meeting customer expectations calls for a customer-centric approach – one that is built upon integration between public sector agencies and that leverages technology and, where relevant, private sector expertise to develop new public service delivery models.
Our common aims are to improve citizens’ quality of life, increase the competitiveness of cities and industry, create the environment for a Smart City as well as to reach acceptable management standards.
A stronger private sector is essential for development. In fact, private sector-led economic growth is considered essential for sustaining any effort to reduce poverty – a core objective of today’s development co-operation – as well as for the supply of infrastructure, services and goods necessary for almost any aspect of the implementation of development policy.
We believe that…
- A municipality is required to respond to the basic needs of all communities and to ensure that they deliver basic services in an effective manner.
- A municipality is required to facilitate the development of a city while ensuring sustainability and limiting the impact on citizens.
- City Management and Executives need to be skilled, organised, engaged. Rate payers / stakeholders need to be assured that revenue is used efficiently and effectively.
